I will keep going

I joined Medium today after the read of a successful writer’s post. What do I see on this platform? A lot of hate for the lack of followers and new writers. What is the point of all that? I do not know, and I am not impressed by their talk.
However, I will write my post for those who choose positive outcomes and learn their life lessons.
I started writing poems at age 12 in my native language. Then, I started writing short stories. I have published books on Amazon.
I entered many writing contests this year. I use Wattpad, Dreame platform, and I have my blog. I always write when I can. I never stopped writing for more than one month in my life — Poetry, Short stories, Flash fiction, etc. I never gave up because this makes me move on even if I do not earn money from my writings.
Since I work full time and have a kid to take care of, I know about time and money management. That never stopped me continue writing. It is the passion for the process.
I took the challenge to improve my skills regardless of the English is not my native language. I use Grammarly before posting.
The reason I write today is to say to myself and all who want to be writers: “I will keep going,” whatever it takes. That is the point to move on and find your motivation inside. That will fuel you to move on even if you do not write every day.
In writers’ lives, there are always situations that may distract them from writing. Breaks from writing and finding a new source of inspiration are a must.
For the years I have written, I never looked specifically for followers, and I never used marketing tools to promote the blog I had through the years. I think Marketing and Creative Writing do not go hand in hand. Why? Because people who write should do it for a higher purpose than money.
Yes, it is true, wealth’s influence is significant, but I will not sell my soul for any currency. And, if people hear your words with their hearts, they will keep reading you.
If the readers can feel what you felt, you are a successful writer. If people found themselves in your shoes because of your writing, you’re a great author. Writing is for the people — to make them matter. Readers build the success fo the penman.
I have been writing through the years because it is not just about my dream to be an author. My heart is in writing — it is the best part of me.
I will not change even if I do not earn enough money from my posts, but for me, it’s good enough to touch people’s souls with my words and to inspire them to believe in themselves. That is the reason I will keep going to write. I hope you found yours too.
