Infrastructure as a Service is the most flexible category of cloud services. It aims to give you complete control over the hardware that runs your application (IT infrastructure servers and virtual machines (VMs), storage, networks, and operating systems). Instead of buying hardware, with IaaS, you rent it. It’s an instant computing infrastructure, provisioned and managed over the internet.

PaaS provides an environment for building, testing, and deploying software applications. The goal of PaaS is to help you create an application quickly without managing the underlying infrastructure. For example, when deploying a web application using PaaS, you don’t have to install an operating system, web server, or even system updates.

SaaS is software that is centrally hosted and managed for the end customer. It is usually based on an architecture where one version of the application is used for all customers, and licensed through a monthly or annual subscription. Office 365, Skype, and Dynamics CRM Online are perfect examples of SaaS software.

These includes disks attached to VMS as well as more structured formats such as vault shares and databases all of which can expand and shrink as necessary

networking features used to setup private networks to your on premise environment and configure and control traffic into and out of azure efficiently hoping to increase the performance and application scalability

App Hosting

these feature lets you run your entire web application on managed platform in windows or linux and plus the azure marketplace that lets you run the huge range of third party products you can run in azure including SAP and SQL database solutions

AI

Artificial intelligence, including machine learning and prebuilt cognitive services. these services helps you search and analyze the existing data to forecast future behaviors, outcomes and trends.

IOT — Internet of things

Azure enables you to integrate sensors and devices and manage them with the IOT hubs allowing you to create full feature dashboards and apps to monitor and control all of your assets

Logic apps and services bus connect applications and services and allow for workflow to orchestrate business processes. wether those connected systems or on premises or in the cloud

Security

security is integrated into every aspect of azure including harden infrastructure and global intelligence monitoring with azure identity management you have control over who has access to each service and the data in it.
