My tips for getting that job you want

Sometimes finding the perfect job for you can be extremely difficult. Especially when you aren’t entirely sure what kind of job you wish to acquire by the end of it all. The whole point of Job Ad and Keyword research is to make it easier for you to find a job that relates to you and that you know you will love doing. Doing this is worth your while, because it allows you to explore many jobs in your field simply by skimming and searching for keywords. For my job search, I was just looking for any kind of entry level position or internship related to marketing or graphic design (my major). I was shocked at the information I found. One thing I found suprising in my job search was how many graphic design jobs there were available on the market. When I would search “marketing and graphic design jobs near me” the majority of what came up were strictly graphic design jobs. However there were still a plethora of jobs in my field. I think all in all, it is important for me to get an internship first before applying for some of these jobs. One thing these job titles emphasized was to be able to work in a fast paced work environment. I feel as though this would be stressful to try to jump right into, so I think it would be important for me to get an internship and get familiar with the work first. Many of the keywords that I found in these job ads were words like “creativity, independence, design, or tech savy.” None the less, these help describe my work ethic and personality, so it was very reassuring to see this.

The jobs that I researched were entry level positions at marketing and graphic design firms. I also researched a number of internships available. Many of the jobs I found were through Indeed or Glassdoor.
