What skills should I improve?

We all have weak spots, and identifying them is the first step to addressing them.

It is all too easy for me to plan everything I want to do in a day, but once it’s time to actually DO the things, I don’t feel as motivated.

Understand what I can accomplish in a day and only set out to do those things. If I finish that work, I can always add to my to-do list. I’ll also break up large tasks into smaller ones.

Much like with my time management problems, I often brainstorm ideas for months worth of content, but then I don’t follow through with creating it. From start to finish, the process often overwhelms me. Instead, I can come up with a strategy to do each step at the same time to hopefully save time and energy.

For example:

Some days are more intensive than others, but the work gets done and instead of creating each article from start to finish in a day, I can focus on smaller tasks.

There’s no escaping the fact that I’m an introvert. I like people, but being around them for too long is draining. Instead of putting myself out there and talking to people, I stay on the sidelines and wait for things to happen. This strategy hasn’t worked for me.

On LinkedIn, I can reach out to other freelancers and ask if they have any advice for new freelancers. (I detest LinkedIn, but I can get over that.)

Another thing I can do is commit to commenting on the articles I read here on Medium. I love receiving comments, so I’m sure others will appreciate insights from me.
