GOLDEN APPROACH LEVELS OF PROCUREMENT

I am going to share a success mantra to bring a transformation in your procurement practices which could be applied in your daily Business or personal deal closures with the best commercials.

Thumb Rule of any Procurement Professional is to approach the partner or vendor through a proper channel irrespective of any category whether it’s a goods or services related.

The level of approach to the respective Channels to be followed as per below

First Level — First Level approach must be always to approach the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).

Second Level — Unsuccessful in First Approach then connect the Master Distributor.

Third Level — Unsuccessful in Second Approach then connect with Wholesale Distributor.

Fourth Level — Unsuccessful in Third Level Approach then connect with Retail Distributor.

Fifth Level — Unsuccessful in Fourth Level Approach then source those goods or services through local market which we term it as cash purchase but limited to lower quantity and find for an substitute.

Efforts are made to the best of the level to close within First and Second Level.

Please try the above mantra and comment with your experience by applying the formula.

By practising this pattern you are able to eleminate the intermediaries commissions/ Cuts/ Margin etc. whatever you would like term it to the lowest.

You are assured about the materials sourced from the respective channel are the appropriate and authentic supplier.

You are assured with the best after sales service since you had been directed by the owing partner of the goods or services.
