Everything in the universe is created in pairs

Do you know that the Lord created almost everything in the universe as pairs?

Every single item of the Lord’s creation has it’s own reason for being, and almost always — it would have its own pair or partner. I first encountered this while reading the Quran, chapter An-Naba (The Tidings), verse 8 which mentions ‘And We created you in pairs’.

This made me think, does this only applies to human beings? If yes, then this is something I could understand.

However, another thought came to mind, what if our Creator actually created everything in the universe as pairs? Where we just need to find out what that pairing is.

My curiosity got the better of me, which I later found that this is another principle of God’s creation. God does indeed create everything in the universe as pairs.

Read the Quran, chapter Ar-Ra`d (The Thunder), verse 3, which says ‘And it is He who spread the earth and placed therein firmly set mountains and rivers; and from all of the fruits He made therein two mates; He causes the night to cover the day. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. ‘

According to the Lord, the daily process of exchange between daytime and nighttime is a form of pairing. True, because there has yet to be any day I wake up to find the sun didn’t do its job. The sun has and will continue to do its job daily as this one of God’s principles which says, everything in the universe are created in pairs. That means the sun and the moon is actually a pair to each other. Who would have thought it that way?

The sun and the moon rotates its function daily so we see night and day, yet how many of us notice that this is actually a principle of God’s creation?

Most people see day and night as time goes past without realising that God has intended it that way since the days mankind lived on earth. Our ancestors and us, are given by God the same privileges, which is each and every one of us have 24 hours each day. Prophets, Pharaohs and us all have something in common, which is equal amount of time each day. What differs is how best we use our time on earth before we die.

Men and women are created as pairs for each other. Same goes for male and female species of animals, plants and things not known to mankind as mentioned in Ya-sin, verse 36. This explains why all living beings would have a gender either male or female.

Exalted is He who created all pairs — from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.

One interesting fact from the verse is that no humans would ever know the pairing of each item in the universe. Something for us to ponder upon would always be “what would be the pairing of this item?” and “what is the pairing of that item?”

So there you go, our Creator has mentioned that all things in the universe are created in pairs, yet how many of us are aware of this?
