7 Ways To Stay Grounded In The Midst Of Chaos

When you feel anxious (for whatever reason), it gets to be so much more difficult to achieve what we want to achieve.

Whether you need to home-school your kids, do the groceries or build your business and connect with your audience…or maybe all these things combined!

With all the things that are going on in the world it can really be a challenge to stay grounded (PUN intended!) and clear-headed.

Feelings of anxiety are definitely slowing down the growth of our biz. Simply because the feeling in your body is a warning sign and it wants to let you know that you need to pay attention. This feeling stops you in your tracks, sometimes even makes you feel nauseous. It makes you want to procrastinate, it makes you doubt yourself. It makes you freeze, confused, overwhelmed, you can’t even think clearly anymore.

The most difficult bit is that sometimes you get stuck in feeling anxious. The alarm bells of your body go off, but even when you are paying attention to what’s going on, the alarm bells won’t stop.

Luckily, there are several ways you can release those feelings and gain clarity.

I’ve got 7 tips for you on how to stay grounded in the midst of chaos.

Tip1:

Retreat from the chaos! Even if you cannot stop a certain situation and the situation is all around you, you can still retreat from it. Whether it’s for only 5 minutes or for 5 whole hours. You can simply take some time off. Meditate, go for a walk, do something fun and/or relaxing. Take your mind off of the current ‘chaos’.

Tip 2:

Actively take your mind on a mini-vacation. Let your fantasy run wild. Imagine being in a lovely warm place where you’re really enjoying yourself, indulging in all the great things you love so much. Feel that feeling and really feel it in every molecule of your body. Try it out! You will feel refreshed after this.

Tip 3:
Turn off and turn inward. No TV or distractions. Just sit down with just you…
Think about all the wonderful things that are happening in your life right now, what your big dreams are and what the next step is that you could take to make them come true. At this moment, right now. What is the next step you could take?

Tip 4:

Focus on your breath. Put one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart. Take a deep breath, fill your belly first and then your chest. Hold your breath for the count of four and then breathe out. Do this several times until you start to feel more relaxed.

Tip 5:

Focus on right now! Don’t worry about things that might occur in the future! It hasn’t happened yet! Don’t worry about things that happened in the past. They are over. Simply think of the here and now.
