Stories Written in Stars

My, oh my…how we’ve grown.

From stories written in the stars, to specks of dust that form the very ground we walk on, now becoming two hearts breathing the breath of life into each other. Raised from our fruitful roots; born apart, bound together by the language of the universe.

In one year, your light has travelled billions of miles, guiding me through my absolute worst and opening my eyes to my best. The more we grow, the more I see when you look at me. The more I believe in destiny. The stronger my faith is in this life.

We are the most uncertainly — certain pair. You make what everyone else sees as an imperfection seem perfect. Two, as you say — ‘confidently lost’, souls who, in search for their spirit, stumbled upon what neither heart deemed themselves worthy of finding and having. That is, freedom within another soul. I ask myself, how is it that we exist simultaneously in real life, but when we are in each others presence and close our eyes, we exist in another stratosphere? Where there are galaxies of endless light and oceans of the deepest blue. Trees of vibrant green and full of the goodness of life. The unfolding of a love so ancient and golden.

With hands that bleed, I believe in you. With a soul of mosaic which you healed, I will colour your life when all you see is grey. With eyes that see, I will guide you. With a heart that is open and listens, I understand you. For even when I am not myself, I will be your everlasting peace and creativity.

Until we travel backwards in the cycle of life and become just two hearts, entering eternal life entangled in each other, though torn apart by the coldness of death, only to then become specks of dust forming the ground we once walked on, continuing to write our story way up high amongst the stars for all to adore.
