Love is the Energy That Binds Us Together

I stare down with such awe and wonder. How in the world did my daughter and her husband create this amazing bundle of joy! So quiet and content with no need right now other than to be held. Love oozes out of every pore of his body. He gives me hope for the future. My definition of peace.

This tiny beautiful baby boy holds the keys to the future. All he needs is love, sustenance, and caring. He makes you forget you don’t mind changing dirty diapers. When he innocently pees in your face, you laugh. Not a common occurrence! We could all learn from this little magician.

How can this sweet little boy suck all of your energy then give it right back to you? A reason to celebrate. A whole new dimension of possibility for that which felt impossible. One little smile. I know it’s gas, but I don’t care. It will become a memory tucked away in my heart forevermore! I hold it close. It’s a treasure! And today, it triggers that innate love that hides deep in my soul. It exposes me like nothing else.

Life is such a precious gift. And when given with no expectations, it is beyond measure. If we could all learn, soak up this experience, and hold onto it for all of time. The gift that brings redemption with no expiration date. We could all learn from this little magician.

It is love, pure and simple. There is no feeling that compares. It takes me back to my finest days and creates a new ray of light. It’s unimaginable energy that keeps on giving — year after year after year. No price can be paid for this delicacy. It’s like a pay it forward in a bizarre kind of way!

It’s an energy you can’t bottle. It’s a magic potion. An energy I recall every time I look into my daughter’s eyes.
